Help at a market
The Southwest, Kingfield and Nokomis Farmers Markets are made possible in large part because of neighbors who share a little time. If you love your neighborhood market, we’d love to have you as part of our growing family of volunteers. As little as a couple hours a season at your market of choice would make a big difference. Plus, it’s a fun way to meet neighbors and show your support for local food and farmers!
Opportunity Highlight: Zero Waste Volunteers
Our zero-waste volunteers play a key role in helping the market reduce its environmental impact. By providing education and guiding visitors at waste stations, these volunteers make sustainable choices easier for everyone. Everyone from Community Recycling Ambassadors to beginners are welcome. No prior experience is required; training is provided.
What volunteers do:
Help market-goers sort waste correctly
Reduce contamination in compost and recycling streams
